About Us
The Mandate Church, Manchester is a faith based Christian charity in the United Kingdom under the leadership of the Holy Spirit to fulfil Christ’s mandate which is to preach the gospel to all nations. We are passionate about the word of God and our desire is not only to preach and teach the word, but to live by it and reflect the transformative power in the word.
We teach and deliver the word of God in a simple, practical, and applicable way that transforms and benefits the hearer.
OUR VISION AND MISSION
- To preach and teach the unadulterated word of God with a missional outlook. Matt. 28:17-20.
- To raise a people passionate about the kingdom lifestyle and fulfilling their God given mandate. People that will stand uncompromisingly and occupy till He comes.
- To be part of God’s end time army to populate the Kingdom of God and depopulate the kingdom of the devil.
- To live a life that is in accordance with the dictates of the scripture. A lifestyle that is scripture and kingdom based.
- To spend eternity with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
We have a commission to teach and preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ which has the power to change and make disciples of Nations. The Lord Jesus has also authorised us to set the captives free and give hope to the hopeless through the ministration of the word of God and the power of the Holy Ghost.
The Mandate Church Manchester, is therefore a place of refuge where the lost, disillusioned, hurting and the sick find hope, home, comfort, and healing. A place to rediscover, develop and deploy destiny and fulfil their God given purpose and Mandate. A place where destinies, dreams and purposes are discovered and fulfilled by the preaching and teaching of the word and the empowerment of the Holy Ghost. A place of liberty for all, and a place to rediscover lost potentials by the word and the working of the Holy Spirit.
OUR BELIEF
The Mandate Church has a missional outlook with a vision to spread the Word of God to the ends of the earth. We are a missionary church, striving to reach the unreached. We are keen to collaborate with other churches that share the same vision.
We are a Bible believing church, where the teaching of the infallible word of God is emphasized. Holiness and righteous living are our standard.
The following are our cardinal beliefs:
About the Bible: We believe that the entire scripture, both Old and New Testaments were written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is the true and infallible word of God. (2 Tim 3: 16)
About God: As revealed unto us by the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, Deut. 6:4, who is the Creator of both visible and the invisible creatures, Gen. 1:27.
About Jesus Christ: We believe that he is the Son of God; we believe that Jesus Christ was born of Virgin Mary (Luke 1: 26-38), He is the Saviour of the world that took away the sin of mankind (Mat. 1: 21). Through Him all things were created, Jn 1:3. We believe that Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead on the third day after crucifixion and ascended to heaven to be on the right hand of the throne God the Father. (Mat 28: 1-7, Acts 1: 10, 1 Pet.3:22)
About the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is the comforter and teacher of all things and indwells in believers at the new birth. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (John 16: 7-15, Rm. 8:9, 1 Cor. 3:16)
About Trinity: We believe that God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit are one God, but made of three persons – hence they are one in TRINITY, 1Jn. 5:7.
About the Devil: We believe that the devil is a real and he seeks the downfall of every man. He brought sickness, sin and the death into this world, Gen. 3.
About Man: We believe that man was created in an image of God and was put by God into the midst of His creatures to rule and dominate them (Gen 1: 26-28, Gen 2: 27) We believe that man truncated the plans and the purpose of God by disobeying Him (Gen 3) We believe that God planned redemption for man through the person of His Son; our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. (Gen.3: 15)
About Holiness: Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. We believe that in Christ Jesus, we have the power to live above sin, Heb. 12:14, Rom. 6:14. Repentance, Salvation or New Birth: We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23) and the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23), that Jesus Christ was made sin for our sake 2 Cor. 5:21 and whosoever believes in Him will be forgiven, cleansed and receive the gift of eternal life, Jn. 3:16.
About divine healing and divine health: We believe in divine healing and divine health. Ex. 15:26, Jn 3:2.
The Second Coming of Christ: We believe in the Second coming of Jesus Christ when we will see him in the same physical form in the same manner as He was seen ascending up to heavens. As Christ returns in the
